Q: Do you use MCAD software
other than Pro/Engineer and Solidworks?
A: We specialize in product design using Pro/Engineer
and Solidworks and can export to a wide variety of files including
.dxf, .iges, and .step for use with programs such as AutoCAD.
Q: How long does it take you to design a new product?
A: It's impossible to say, due to the wide range of
products we design. Development time can take from six days
to six months or more, depending on the complexity of the product.
Please contact us and we will discuss your project including
cost and timing.
Q: We have a product that is already being manufactured
but would like to redesign it to reduce cost and improve quality.
Can you help?
A: Yes! We are experienced in troubleshooting existing
product designs and always make every effort to accommodate
DFM (design for manufacturing) considerations.
Q: What is your typical deliverable for a project?
A: Usually we deliver CAD data in the form of Pro/E
or Solidworks solid models, along with drawings showing a few
overall dimensions and/or inspection dimensions. We often build
and debug prototypes or breadboard models.
Q: I have an idea for a product. Can you help me
bring it to market?
A: We excel at creating designing products that are
optimized for manufacturing, starting from only a rough prototype
or even a sketch. We do not provide services for writing a
business plan, marketing research, or similar non-technical
activities associated with new product development.
Q: Are you hiring?
A: Please see the employment
opportunities section. |
