Experience summary:
Steve has experience in designing consumer, medical, and industrial
products, and has had personal involvement with the manufacturing
aspects of the product engineering cycle. He has acted as the lead
technical resource as well as the project manager for a number of
high profile products for industry-leading clients. He has worked
closely with overseas as well as domestic manufacturing plants and
has traveled to Asia as part of the product launch process.
Steve is listed on two utility patents and two design patents, and
has participated in projects that have received recognition from
sources such as Appliance Manufacturer Magazine, BusinessWeek, the
Chicago Athenaeum, Design News, I.D. Magazine, Parametric Technology
Corporation, Pro/E: The Magazine, and
Wired.
His post-college training includes course work in design for manufacturing,
geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, finite element analysis,
and project management. Steve has used Pro/Engineer extensively,
and has also used IDEAS SDRC and SolidWorks. His interests include
analytical simulation software, and he has used Pro/Mechanica as
well as Cosmos to perform finite element analysis verifications
on various projects. He has also used CFD (computational fluid dynamics)
tools for electronics cooling design work.
Steve enjoys the fast pace and wide variety of the consulting environment,
as well as the opportunities it presents to broaden his experience
and continue learning about new industries.
