Stringed Instrument Spring Tension System
A tensioner device using spring modulation members employs springs to apply tension to corresponding musical strings. Perfect tune can be monitored and adjusted by reflected misalignment of the mechanical visual indicator. A plurality of string supports with a saddle and an anchor position, and are supported by a string support body, are used as the string mounting system. Linearly moving a string support selectively increases or decreases the effective playing length of a corresponding musical string.
The stringed musical instrument contains a musical string, a spring, and a mechanical interface interposed between the string and the spring so that the spring provides all of the tension in the musical string. The magnitude of tension in the string remains constant despite changes in the magnitude of the force exerted on the string (i.e. playing the instrument).
