Summary: Van Ness, a leading pet product company, returned to Creative to rework an existing line of auto feeders and waterers following Creative’s successful design of the first generation. The original auto waterer featured a simple snap fit cover below the waterline to prevent leaks and reduce the need for more complex manufacturing processes. Working with Creative’s industrial design team, Van Ness chose a new aesthetic from a palette of rough concepts.
The second generation featured improved styling and a reduction in amount of plastic used. The parts were engineered to nest for efficient pallet shipping and fit on the existing shelf space in stores. Users found the product line to be easy to use, convenient, and a great value for providing an extended supply of fresh food and water to their pets.
